UPZONE PLEDGE MANAGER CLOSING

Hello Backers!

Sorry for the back to back updates but this is very important. Many backers wanted to know when the pledge manager will close, with printing on schedule we are going to close backer kit on December 20th. That means you have to fill out the survey and finalize your pledge by then. If you do not fill it out before it closes you will not receive your pledge when it ships to backers.

With the increasing prices of manufacturing and the constant struggle with freight shipping.  There will be a retail MSRP cost increase of 25-50% post Kickstarter AND Kickstarter exclusives like the Obsidian Zone will not be available at retail.

Please fill out your pledge manager before it closes lock in your rewards at the best price and to get the exclusives.

Printing Update, Obsidian Zone, PAX Unplugged

Hello Upzone Backers! 

We at Everything Epic hope you are all safe and well as the holiday season rolls in. Things have been very busy and unpredictable these past weeks but we have only good news to share with you today. 

Obsidian Zone 

We received, opened, tested, and of course took some Epic pictures of the Obsidian Zone. See for yourself  

Everything is really does look Epic and we are so excited. 

Printing Update

Printing is on schedule, no delays to report. It should be done in a few weeks.  We will keep you informed if anything does come up. 

Pax Unplugged

The last month of the year brings us the last convention of the year.  We will be at Pax Unplugged booth #3223

IMPORTANT STATEMENT ABOUT UPZONE POP-UP TERRAIN

Hey Upzone Pop-Up Terrain Fans!

We thank you all for all of your kind support! We have a very important statement that we wanted to make known immediately: 

We wanted to post an update about a recent Kickstarter project “Titans Terrain” and some of the comments we have been receiving about it. We are in no way affiliated with Tabletop Titans or their product. We are not working on their terrain or publishing their terrain.

Tabletop Titans were one of a very small handful of content creators we contacted and they expressed excitement and interest in Upzone and requested we send them a sample prototype copy. We then mailed them an early reviewer Sample Copy of our “Cathedral Zone” last year while we were running our campaign, for Upzone. And since then we never received our prototype back and never heard anything back from the Tabletop Titans team.

We really appreciate the exposure that the amazing content creators that did review our product gave us as it helped our campaign out a great deal. We’re a small indie company who work very hard to spread the word about our products, so all help is very appreciated. However, it is surprising and extremely upsetting to the Everything Epic team and Upzone’s designer to see such a similar project released from a group of people in the world that we trusted with one of our prototypes giving them access to a very early copy of the product we designed, developed, playtested, and promoted with our blood sweat and tears for a very long time.

We expected to see some competing products released after the success of our Kickstarter for Upzone Pop-Up Terrain and we welcome it! However, we are shocked and very disappointed that Tabletop Titans have chosen to emulate our product so closely, even name conventions such as their expansion “Cathedral Square”, which is extremely similar to our “Cathedral Zone” All the while having access to an actual copy of our product before release. While it is impossible to know whether they did start work on their product before our Kickstarter, they most certainly should have disclosed they were working on a very similar product before agreeing to review and promote our product Upzone and accept one of our very few costly sample copies, which we overnighted them during our Kickstarter campaign.

Once again, we, the Everything Epic team, thank each and every one of you for your support and look forward to getting the Upzone Pop-Up Terrain System into your hands as soon as possible!

UpZone News and Good news!

 Hello Upzone backers! 

The past 2 months have been Convention heavy, and we aren't done yet!  Next we will be at BGG con in November. In December we will be at PAX unplugged.  If you are able to attend either please come say hi! While showing off various Zones there was something that came to our attention specifically with the dungeon zone. 

Dungeon Zone addition

With UpZone on display people would just have to touch it and see how it works! When picking up and putting down the rooms from the dungeon zone sometimes it would move the layout. This is a minor thing that can be mitigated by careful placement.  However, as people will be excited at the table when UpZone is enhancing their experience, rather than have to keep that in check we designed a solution. We will be including clips made from cardstock that you can use to "clip" rooms together. This is completely optional and not really necessary however, we want to provide it for those that plan to build elaborate zones and will find this useful.  The core design of UpZone is kept in mind here to have fast set up, fast take down, and easy storage.  These clips will provide more stability for those who may want it.  

More Good News

Adding some additional clips wasn't the only good news. It will not add any extra printing time!  As of now still on track for end of December print completion.  The estimate is still February-March for fulfillment.  If that changes we will let you know!

Hello Upzone backers!

It was really amazing seeing peoples reaction to Upzone at both GenCon and Origins. We had Upzone proudly on display and it is clear that people LOVE it even in its sample form. 

So many people stopped to see just exactly how Upzone worked. When I would reach over and simply fold one of the boards closed it was so satisfying seeing their mind be blown! " Wow, That is Epic!" 

Printing 

As of now no new updates to the print schedule we are still on track! 

What is next?

Next we will be in Essen Germany for Spiel! and of course will will have Upzone on display! We are very exited to show as many people as possible this Epic terrain system! If you are going to be there please come visit our booth and say hi. Hall 5 Row C booth 130
